Grandma's Homemade Brownies
Category: Dessert Username: Creepshow View My Other Recipes![]() Simple homemade brownies 1 1/2 cups sugar 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup cocoa powder 3 eggs 3/4 cup butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted butter) 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 3/4 cup of walnuts, pecans, or other nuts (optional)
Mix all ingredients except for the chocolate chips in a bowl by hand, just until everything is moistened. DO NOT OVER MIX!

![]() GoWilkes Very good brownies! They're VERY rich, though, so I strongly recommend adding nuts to offset the richness. And, I had to bake them for about 50 minutes; they were pretty thick, so maybe a larger pan would be better? Finally, a word to the wise: do NOT skimp on the quality of chips and cocoa powder! Cheap cocoa powder isn't going to taste good. I used Ghiradelli, and they turned out awesome. |
